I have hurriedly traveled
in North America on October, 2005, starting from making a kiln
in North Carolina, Workshop and Exhibition in Asheville, Exhibition
in Atlanta, or Chicago, and so on.
The U.S. was founded only 200 years and several decades ago.
American people took an interest in and paid their respects
for 'Tradition' of ceramic art, because, I think, it doesn't
have a long history.
A lot of young ceramics attended the workshop in North Carolina
All of them were enthusiastic and eager to learn. Their earnest
gaze expressed a strong will that they would build tradition
in future.
Sofa Chicago is a worldwide event of art. Galleries and customers
will gather from all over the world. Atmosphere of the hall
got into swing, and you can see high level art here. My works
were exhibited as those of Gallerie Besson. I was deeply moved
and thought it honorable to be exhibited there. To feel the
atmosphere of the event served as a stimulus to me. I recommend
you to visit there if you have a chance.
I positively want to hold exhibitions and workshops in the
U.S in future. Please be looking forward to hearing my report.
