Higham Hall has been a residential adult college for 26 years.
Higham is situated in a beautifully restored 19th century Gothic mansion with well tended gardens and spectacular views of Skiddaw and the Northern Fells.

Approximately 3000 people enrol each year on 250 courses from 1 day Study Sundays and intensive weekends, to week long summer schools.

Shozo had a lecture "Oribe" at JAPANESE CERAMICS SUMMER SCHOOL of this college for about one week.

Men and women of all ages and all sorts, who were mixture of professionals and a nonprofessionals, gathered. (18 students, most of them were women)

The contents of the lecture was to practice hand-building and basic throwing and learn about a Japanese glaze technique. People could get basic and advanced techniques.
Everyone attended the lecture eagerly as if they were attracted by Shozo's magic hands.
